The people at Hotel Plaza Lucchesi could not have been any nicer or more helpful. And, this was true not only during our stay, but prior to our arrival. I had numerous e-mail exchanges with various hotel employees before booking the room, and everyone was very quick to respond to my questions. ... The hotel itself, as well as our room, was beautiful, even more beautiful than how depicted on your website. Your pictures (and I guess pictures in general) just can't do it justice when compared with in person. As for service, among other things, the concierge and reception recommended two excellent restaurants at which we ate (Dino and Buca Lapi) and gave us helpful walking and driving directions (we rented a car) for Florence and beyond. ... We were extremely fortunate as, based on the time of year, we stayed in a gorgeous and spacious room on the top floor (Room 415, I believe) with a balcony overlooking the Duomo, the Santa Croce church and the synnagogue, and that had crown molding, chair railing, scalloped column and chandelier, for what we understand was about half ($200) of what that room would normally cost during peak season ($400). ... As I already have. Overall, it is a very warm, beautiful and charming hotel with fantastic service and, while in a quiet neighborhood, which is ideal, it is no more than a ten minute walk to the Duomo.

We were very welcome, the rooms were all ready for us and the staff were more than helpful. ... We had a wonderful stay at the Lucchesi - in fact we went back to there at the end of our holiday and were treated as returning friends. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone, including porters, chambermaids and all other staff were delightful. The concierge service was second to none. They helped with all kinds of things including arranging a trip for our sons to see the Fiorentina football ground, organinsing tickets for the Ufizzi Gallery recommending and making reservations for several wonderful restaurants nearby. Our only tiny criticism is the rather monotonous breakfast. It would be nice to have something cooked on offer as well. However, what was on offer was always well presented, fresh and we were courteously attended in nice surroundings. We can't wait to return. ... Wonderfully relaxing and welcoming ... Refined, relaxed and unobtrusive in a great location, with nice facilities and great staff.

We were very pleased with our accomodations for our family, with 3 children, we had two interconnecting rooms with a river view. the staff was extremely generous, thoughtful, attentive, friendly and pleasant. ... I dont recall that the web site stated inter-connecting rooms available. for a family of 5, this was exactly what we were looking for. ... this was our 2nd time to find hotel with this site, our first was rome. we have been more than pleased both times. it has saved me hours, and peace of mind, knowing i could count on reliable, accurate, safe and pleasant accomodations with most of research already done for me. ... great quiet location for exploring sites and restaurants on foot, beautiful views of river and bridges, above par staff - helpful in every way, hotel is clean and well decorated. we had some street noise when we opened our windows on the river side, but not enough to detract from all the other advantages.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful; arranging entry to the Uffizi as well as dinner recommendations that were exceptional. ... The rooms were lovely and exactly the location and configuration we had requested. The only suggestion would be to install better hair dryers in the bathrooms. ... The location is perfect, as a summer choice especially, as the crowds are heightened in the summer months and getting a little bit away from the noise (though within easy walking distance) was perfect!!! The room decor is beautiful and the view of the Arno exceptional. European elegance with all the right amenities....air conditioning was much appreciated and enjoyed.

Lovely receptionist- very polite and friendly ... Fantastic view over Il Duomo- very quiet ... Veryaccomodating when I asked if we could keep our bags there until our train left so we could walk around the city without the bags. ... Clean, friendly, quiet, great location and good value for money considering it is Firenze!

Perfectly satisfactory. We had booked (with considerable emphasis and exchanges of EMails)an Arno-view room but were given one with a view of the city and the Tuscan Hills. Since it was a large room, with a big balcony and a terrific view, we were very happy with it and didn't say anything about the substitution. They could have indicated upfront though that they had given us alternative accommodation to that which we had requested. It undoubtedly was better to be located at the rear away from the noise of the Lungarno and the balconies were much, much bigger, so being upfront wouldn't have hurt. ... A very satisfactory choice. ... Breakfast was included in the room price, so we ate it but it was pretty pedestrian for the high quality of hotel. The coffee was awful and so were the bread rolls and the jams. When we had cappuccinos in the hotel one afternoon, they were nothing like the quality of the coffees even in the small bars in Florence. They definitely could do better in this respect. ... A good hotel, reasonably well located - it was a fair walk to the Ponte Vecchio, OK for us but possibly not for someone elderly - with great views from the rooms.

The desk staff was helpful, the room and view were great, but the bellman just stood there and stared at us when we were trying to get in the door w/ all of our luggage. He was not helpful at all. ... We loved our stay and our room was wonderful w/ a great view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good location and great view - and it was very clean. ... Bellman was not helpful at all. ... The room was great - and it was 2 stories. That was a very pleasant surprise for us however if anyone is in need of assistance this would not be a good room for them. ... Very nice, very clean, and good location.

Excellent attitude from all staff ... The air con was not working - this caused sleepless nights and needs a review. Impossible to leave windows open as far too noisy. ... Quite expensive for the standards but probably in lne with Firenze.

The duplex room #102 I was shown to on arrival was terrible: extremely noisy, unattractively furnished, with the bathroom on a different level from the sleeping gallery. I was moved to a great room with a lovely terrace overlooking St. Croce. The breakfast was mediocre at best. ... The website promised an American breakfast, but it was a European one, i.e. no eggs or other hot alternatives on offer, with stale tasting breads and orange juice tasting of tin can. ... The rooms with terraces facing St. Croce are lovely. The lobby is deserted and rather souless feeling. The hotel restaurant is over priced, but there are great restaurants within walking distance.
