To the right of San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini Church, founded in 1206 which belonged to the Knights Templar from 1256 and after several adventures in the early 1700 a small convent was built next to the Church and it is here that now you find the Hotel Machiavelli.

Two noble florentine families Barontini Salimbeni very famous in Siena and Florence for their political and commercial initiatives, bought and changed the convent in a stately house, the heraldic emblem on the front of the palace proves it.

The Machiavelli Palace Hotel has been completely renovated in 2007 but retaining all the best florentine features of the period, with some lovely old wood carved ceilings, and frescoes, giving to the Hotel a typical atmosphere of old Florence. Yet it offers all the comfort of a modern hotel.
