Giovanni and Monica were extremely helpful and kind. They were able to book us a night at the other property in Chiusi where we were met by the Marino, the other caretaker of the property. Everyone was so friendly and the property in Chiusi was expecially gorgeous. If they put in more money to fix the property in Chiusi, it would be truly a gem. As it was, it was perfect for our needs. We will definitely recommend both properties to our friends. ... Our room was tastefully decorated and clean. We loved having the space and the comfort feeling like we were at home. The only thing I would recommend is a better coffee machine in the hotel. Maybe in an espresso maker or several French presses. The one they had needed to be altered because the coffee was cold. We loved Giovanni and Monica and can't say enough about how nice they were to us. ... The only other comment is that maybe they could install a phone for the guest to use their calling cards to call home. That would have been helpful. ... Great location, quiet, and spacious. It is a lovely place to return to... ... A gem...

I had hoped to be able to sit in the courtyard during the day,but the tables/umbrellas were put away for a car park. ... Close to the river and river cafes. 20 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio along the river. ... An elegant property. Big rooms with big new bathrooms.Lovely, comfortable furniture. No desk or table in our room though. Quiet at night - no road noise.Very helpful staff. Many good shops and restaurants at the top end of the street. Catch the bus just round the corner. Breakfast coffee was horrible (in Italy!!!)- powdery, from a machine.

Confusion on arrival was due to a broken doorbell. Eventually, another guest came and we were able to enter and meet the manager, who was very apologetic.
The accomodations were wonderful - exceeded our expectations. ... Charming, small, beautifully furnished, but be prepared to walk for 20 minutes to reach Piazza Signorelli and the center of the city. Walk was more than offset by the accomodations and friendliness of the staff.

Villino Il Magnifico was an exceptionally fine B&B -- It was far better than I even expected based on the information on the web. It's hard to say exactly why it was so nice except that it was simply 'delicious' --the outside, the view of the community, the inside -- the decor, the breakfast-- the managers -- they were extremely helpful and accomodating! The place was immaculate, comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom facilities were modern and clean. It was easy to get to even though it was not in the center of Florence. I highly recommend this B&B. -- Martha
... It's better than it appears on the web!

Monica, Cristina, and Giovanni are very friendly. Always made us feel like we were welcome guests in their own home. Every object and furniture welcomed us to our room. ... They have a very simple, but very traditional Italian breakfast waiting for you every morning in the breakfast room. Includes an automatic coffee machine, yogurts, croissants, cereals, juices, and cookies from the region. The breakfast made it such an exceptional value ... Absolutely enchanting!

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and furnished and cleaned daily to a high standard. Linen changed twice during our 7 night and towels were changed approximately 3 times, and plenty were provided. Also a nice touch were the free toiletries, sachets of bath foam and soap as you need a good long soak after walking the sights of Florence! ... Beautiful and well kept accomodation in a perfect location for seeing the sights of Florence on foot. Approximately a 15 Minute walk to the Uffizi and of course all places of interest can be reached easily from there. location is just up the road from the River Arno which makes for a pleasant walk into the centre but also located in a residential part of the city which means plenty of local shops and nice and quiet becuase just off the tourist track. Would highly recommend!

If you have stayed in central Firenze before, you know you can experience some normal city noise.
Villino Il Magnifico offers the customer a great way to stay in a traditional tuscan property area away from the centre.
The location makes you walk more so you get to explore some of the back streets, churches, trattorias. Wonderful morning walk along the Arno into Firenze centre.

Unless you want to pay extra charges for 'convenience' conversion of Euros into your local currency, ask for payment to be made in Euros when paying by credit card. ... Some rooms are being updated with a 'shabby chic' style. Unless this is your preference, ask for the other rooms with the traditional Tuscan wood floors and furniture.

The road instructions/distances were not exact, but we found the hotel by using our map. Should be reviewed by the hotel. ... Traffic noise was louder than expected. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated.
Some of the staff should learn how to smile (although they were all friendly).
Breakfast: no cheese / sausage, no honey. Lots of one-way packages (too much garbage). ... The price is difficult to evaluate because it seems to me that accommodation in Florence is very expensive in general. ... Lovely, very clean, close to downtown, small and cosy place to stay.

The historic center is 20min away, and is very accessible by bus (<5min) ... Residential area, very quiet. Also not many places to eat at around the area, especialy late at night. The room is very spacious, is well-furnished, and has a lovely bathroom.

We arrived late, and they came from another place fairly quickly.
Your directions were worthless, as the location was off your map. It would have been nice to know what bus to take from the train station (and where to get it). ... Again, please include directions by bus from the train station, including where to get off the bus. ... I would stay there again.
