We enjoyed this accommodation. one benefit would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in each room. I note that this is not a normal feature of European accommodation, but would be appreciated by all travellers. ... Good quality, clean, comfortable accommodation. Very centrally located.

Only issue was a shower that did not drain properly, therefore, had to limit time in the shower. ... We received an email from the manager prior to arrival that also asisted. We needed to provide the time of arrival to ensure someone was there to meet us. ... In the heart of Firenze, comfortable and pleasant, would stay there again.

The Old Bridge is set in a large appartment building. It appeared unwelcomming at first - it was late due to bus delays and rain, and our first contact was with a man who did not identify himself or explain anything - we worried that we were being mugged! He just walked up to the door and began opening it with no explaination and did not even greet us. The room was clean and warm but the room is very basic.
The breakfast at the cafe opposite was not 6 euros as discribed - 30! I recommend using the hotel which the property has an affiliation, as the staff were exceptional and the breakfast plentyful. Also the views from the roof terrace unbelievable. You really are within a few minutes of all of the galleries and the resturant recommendations from the hotel are fantastic.
I am already planning to go again - but to arrive before 10pm!
Enjoy. ... Except the confusion over breakfast - use the hotel! ... The twin room was very small and basic but the furniture a good quality. It was just a little un-welcoming! Some pictures on the walls and a bit of colour would really improve things. Overall it felt very isolated with no one in the accomodation and no introduction of any substance. ... Very basic, but the hotel is fantastic for information and help. The location could never be beaten for the price and it is so quiet! I would definately use it again.

The availability of parking (or lack of it) would be useful for those of us arriving by car. ... Lovely room and convenient locale ... Pleasant, convenient and reasonably priced, right in the heart of historic Florence

Much, much nicer than we had anticipated. A delight! ... Friendly, comfortable, clean. Ideally situated for the major art historical sites and near splendid Tratorias. The quiestest accommodation I have ever stayed in in Florence (have stayed in the city over 50 times).
Would most certainly use again.

Location is excellent just south of Ponte Vecchio. Barbara was very helpful. Security with the front gate and 3rd floor inner hall door locked was very good. For budget minded travellers, this is an excellent choice. The only concerns were no English TV channels, and my twin single room was dark, with only an inner courtyard door to open for more light and ventilation. However, little time was spent in the room and the location was worth it for the price. ... The response from the hotel was quick and any communication went directly there. ... Not sure what that is. ... There is not a person on duty 24hours. Arrange check out time to make sure there is someone available in the office, which is usually locked. ... Quick and accurate response. ... Perfect location, safe, and quiet. Room was very small for a single and although bathroom was clean and new, a very large person would not be comfortable in it. If you need more space, check cost of upgrading to a double. No food, so buy a pastry the night before. Great food shop just across the street and a nice cafe to the left and down the first walkway left.

Very thankful there was a lift to help with the luggage...wonderful location....very helpful staff. We appreciated the reservations made in advance for the Uffuzi, the Accademia, and for dinner at a local restaurant they recommended - wonderful! ... Comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms - and thank you for the use of your hair dryer! ... They made arrangements for the hotel across the street to keep our luggage for us until we were ready to depart for the car rental location. Also, they helped confirm our car rental reservations - again, very helpful. ... You should tell everyone that has traveled in Europe before that you have a lift from the ground floor of your building - after a few days of hauling luggage up several flights of stairs, this is a plus! ... Clean, quiet, friendly, and private.

The location is really great with shops right on that street and just steps from the Old Bridge. ... Very good value for our money and the location was so convenient. We just stayed there the night before we left to return home and we needed an 'easy spot' and this was great.

The directions to the property published online were correct. However, it took us much more time to get there than it was stated in the directions. ... Quiet and absolutely private unlike most of the B&Bs. ... The best place we stayed at during our journey around Italy!

I think you should indicate that there is no reception at the Old Bridge B&B. There is no bar, no place to leave the key, etc. That was the hardest part -- only one key for the room and there were 2 of us going in different directions, etc.

The accommodation was perfect in Florence. Very central and very near where my friends were staying, which is what I requested. This website is excellent and I have recommended it to friends and will hopefully be using it myself again in the future. ... Florence Old Bridge B&B was exactly what I was looking for. ... No problems at all. They were polite and called me a cab to get me to the train station. ... I would recommend the property. It is very central. Just a minutes walk from the Ponto Vecchio and the Boboli Gardens. Nice patesseria across the road where you can get you morning coffee and croissant. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered all of your questions.

The owner provided several options, that is, method, website and costs, for tranferring from airport to the B&B. This was very useful. ... The owner, Francesco, was very helpful and worked with us to plan our ROme itinerary, including walking routes, etc. The breakfast was simple, but with a nice personal touch. ... Francesco arranged transportation to the train station which was greatly appreciated. ... Great location: can walk to all important sites within 15-20 minutes. Right in the middle of restaurants, shopping, and historical sites. The front room can get noisy, but owner provides ear plugs.

We had a very pleasant stay. I had forgotten that we were supposed to be given vouchers for breakfast at the patisserie opposite and no-one mentioned it to us so we didn't get any vouchers. At the end of our visit we overheard another guest asking for vouchers (which they were given) but by then we had found an alternative. It might be a good idea if they mentioned the vouchers on arrival perhaps? Actually we enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpful so please do not view this as a complaint (if I had rememebred I could have asked for the voucher myself), it is just a suggestion. ... We were asked to check out earlier than the stated check-out time as our last day was a Sunday and they wanted to get the rooms cleaned etc earlier than on weekdays. We didn't mind doing that as they agreed we could leave our luggage in their office for collection later. ... I don't know whether it is common in Italy to have a facility for making tea and coffee in the rooms, but we would have appreciated some sort of facility to make tea or coffee, and also it would have been nice to have one or two glasses in the room so that we could drink water (or anything else) from a glass rather than a bottle. ... Very good location, convenient for all the sights and quiet at night. Helpful staff.

The directions from the station to the hotel were not that clear, thankfully we had a map so could make our way. Also it takes more than 10 minutes to get there! ... Because Florence Old Bridge is based in a commercial and domestic building, we found that it could be a litte noisy at night with scraping chairs as there are no carpets! However, the noise would not last long and we found that it kind of added to our stay! Probably need to be aware of this if clients are early to bed and light sleepers. ... We had pre-arranged everything with the owner as we left very early in the morning. He was very helpful and told us exactly what to do and we completed everything the night before our departure ... Florence Old Bridge is ideally placed in the centre of Florence but because it is over the river it is a little quieter than the centre. The accommodation is basic and clean but seeing as you are rarely in the hotel it is perfect. The staff are friendly and unobtrusive and their level of English is good. What is interesting is that you are living amongst businesses and domestic proprieters in the building so the experience is even more italian!

The hotel was not gorgeous, but clean and cool (air condition !!!), bigger than I expected (compared to the photo on the web.), and at great location. Hotel staff were all kind, and especially Barbra, who were there during daytime, offered more than professional services. I felt very at home, and had a preseant stay there. ... I enjoyed the stay. Thanks. ... Has all modern facilities including air condition, and the location is superb. Really good value for money.

The check-in desk is located in a hotel accross the street from our room. We pushed a buzzer and the clerk came over from the hotel to let us in. That process was somewhat confusing. ... I suggest you change the name since a 'B&B' implies breakfast is included. We were offered the option to purchase a coupon for breakfast at a nearby restaurant for 6 Euros per person. ... Change the name, as stated above. ... Third floor room, very quiet, clean, private bath included. Very close to major tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. in Florence.

Flight was fine and on time, however, the experience from the Airport to Santa Maria Novella was not so good. Train strikes meant no trains running for several hours and the bus company does not operate on time to the train station. ... The room was furnished very nicely, and very clean. The room was quite dark though and the views from the window were not so pleasant. Nice central location though and the staff were very helpful. ... Staff very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags with them on departure day. Always very accommodating. ... Suitable if you are looking for a relatively cheap place to stay in the centre of Florence, whilst spending most of the time out and about exploring Florence. A good place to 'lay your head' for the night.
Very friendly and obliging staff. Clean room with no frills.

THIS WAS NOT A TRADITIONAL B&B (AS WE KNOW IT). WE HAD TO GET A VOUCHER AND GO ACROSS THE STREET FOR A COFFEE AND CROISANT. THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST SERVED ON SITE WHICH WAS A LITTLE MISLEADING TO US. BUT ALL IN ALL THE ACCOMODATIONS WERE VERY NICE AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF EVERYTHING AND WE HAD A MARVELLOUS TIME THERE. THANK YOU.

Barbara, the hotel staff person was wonderful. She went out of her way to help us with reservations. The only fault was the air conditioning was not working well in one of the rooms, and there was no private phone. However, the rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. I was overall very pleased with the accomodations. ... I think the web site should better explain that the B and B is like renting a room, and that there is no private phone available. The phone was in the hall. Also, no one was available at night if something were to happen. However, nothing happened so it was fine ... The Old Bridge offered 5% discount for cash. it would have been nice to know that ahead of time because I wasn't prepared to pay for the rooms with cash. Checking out was easy. ... As mentioned before, there is no private phone in the guest room. Also, no one is available in the reception area at night. The accomodation is more like an apartment. The rooms and bathrooms are small, but clean. Since it is a B&B, the towels were not changed for the four nights we were there, nor was the soap replaced. We had to use our own. But the price made up for the minor inconveniences. ... I would say it is more like renting a room in an apartment building. You had to have a front door key, a hall key, and a room key. It bothered me not having a private phone in the room, but we adjusted to it. The rooms were clean and Barbara was wonderful. If you are interested in a luxury hotel, this is not the place to be. But for us, it was comfortable, except for the air conditioning that didn't work very well at times. All in all, it was good value for the money. The location is fabulous to sights and food. Right off the Ponte Vecchio. I loved the location and neighborhood. The most important features for me are convenience and cleanliness, and the Florence Old Bridge met those.
