I located the lovely Hotel degli Orafi on the website, and found there an excellent special web price that enabled us to stay there. Without the website, we would have had to stay much further away. Given that my husband sometimes has trouble walking distances, this was especially important. We loved ! the hotel. The staff was very, very nice. Thank you. Ruth Cernea

Monica, especially was EXTREMELY helpful and patient with us and everyone we saw her talking to, a GREAT employee!! The hotel is in the BEST location to all the Florence sights, the accomodations were amazing, we were upgraded to an apartment, which was so spacious and comfortable! Breakfast was GREAT, we had a drink on the terrace, beautifiul views, could not really say more wonderful things about the hotel! Beats any of the large chains, where you feel lost amongst the drowns of people!

I was not sure if the apartments are too new to have been mentioned, but, I think they should be BOASTED-about!

The superior room was on two levels - the bedroom was up quite a long flight of stairs, which would have been hopeles for anyone with a disability.

There was some confusion about the type of
room, we had booked and paid for a room with
a view of the Ponte Vecchio, the hotel was
under the impression that we were to have a
Jr. Executive room with no view. They ended
up upgrading us to a suite with a view of
the river - it was the only room they had
available with the view.

delightful, and breakfast was memorable.

It was all fine. I had a very space 'suite' with a single bed, but it wsn't in the main part of the hotel almost like an annexe. As the hotle was not fiull I wondered why I hadn't been given a room in the main hotel, not that it mattered at all and I enjoyed the extra space.

The room staff took away the shower cap I had used oaster the first day and didn't replace it, whch was annoying. They also removed on the second day the soft hand/hair towel and again did not replace it.

The bed in my single room was extremely hard. The staff changed the mattress for me, which was somewhat more comfortable. The room and bathroom were excellent.

Excellent breakfast buffet and good service. Service in the roof bar could be a little faster, but the bar was beautiful with a wonderful view.

Front desk staff were not helpful in booking reservations. Cable tv was out and not fixed for two days. Balcony advertised had no seating (it was in the 60's F). Evening tea offered was only good one night - web sight made it seem as though it was each night. Room was quite small but clean and comfortable.

Nice, convenient location - close to everything -clean - not quiet - on a busy street. Expensive. Nice breakfast in the morning. Free papers only in lobby. Evening tea available only first night - not every night. Hotel desk staff not helpful - border on rude. Asked for help booking a tour - very unhelpful.
