In this Town House Suite in the city cradle of Renaissance you will enjoy modern devices, a historical ambiance and a great location only 2 blocks from the famous Duomo. The building was originally constructed in the heart of Florence in the 16th century and soon it was under the protection of the Italian National Commission for Cultural Heritage.

At the beginning of the 19th century the first Alfanis became the owners of the property, and for many generations it has belonged to the same family. Professor Augusto Alfani, who died in 1923, was a distinguished educator and philosopher, and his son, Guido, was in charge of important pioneering activities that were even admired by Marconi. Even though renovations are constantly made to the hotel (the last in March 2007), the façade of the Palazzo Alfani still shows its Renaissance features, while the rooms contain period furniture and there are prints by famous artists all over the place.

Location is another advantage at this Town House Suite in Florence: the Galleria dell` Accademia stands across the street, housing Michelangelo`s David and other relevant masterpieces. A few blocks from the property, following Via Ricasoli, you will come to the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral, the landmark of the city.
