Palazzo Alfani can be found on 49 Via Ricasoli, right in front of the Galleria dell` Accademia and a few blocks from the Duomo. It is right in the heart of the historical centre, surrounded by temples and piazzas. |

By Plane
Peretola airport in Florece welcomes flights from Rome, London, Munich and Paris, among other cities in Europe, on a regular basis, being the most important terminal in the Tuscany region. It is placed only 5 kilometres from the property and can be easily reached by car, taxi (15 minutes drive) or public transport.
By Car
You will have to drive around 11 kilometres (23 minutes) from Peretola airport to the inn. Once you leave Sesto Fiorentino, where the terminal is located, go along Via dei Cipresi, Via di Montione and Viale 11 Agosto. You will come to a roundabout where you must take the first exit into Viale Alessandro Guidoni. As you enter Florence, drive along Via Alessandro Guidoni, turn right in Via Enrico Forlanini and then left into Via Francesco Redi. Take your left at Via Guido Monica, again in Viale Filippo Strozzi and continue along Via Spartaco Lavagnini. Turn right at Via di Santa Caterina d`Alessandria, left in Via delle Ruote and right in Via San Gallo. Finally, take your left at Via Guelfa and you will come to Via Ricasoli, where you must turn left. The Palazzo stands on number 49, directly opposite the Galleria. (Bear in mind that the area where the hotel is located is a restricted one but the Palazzo will take your vehicle registration number that gives you the permit to enter the city center)
By Train
At Peretola airport you may take a shuttle service to Santa Maria Novella station, from where you may take a taxi (10 minutes drive) or ask for the transfer service provided by the hotel (an extra cost is charged). Otherwise, get on buses number 1, 7, 10, 17, 25, or 33 and descend at Piazza San Marco stop. Once there, just walk along Via Ricasoli and the Palazzo Alfani stands on your right hand side. If you arrive at Rome, you can take trains leaving to Santa Maria Novella station on a regular basis (1 hour 40 minutes trip, approximately). |
