The person that greeted us did not speak English. Fortunately, my wife and daughter both speak Spanish and since the languages are similar they were able to get by. Not very welcoming for a U.S. tourist.

The rooms were small and on the second floor of someone's apartment with no breakfast or common area. I definitely would not recommend this to a friend.

Upon arrival we had to use a telephone to call the owners beacuse they run two hotels and are normally based at the other one. They arrived after about 30 mins and showed us to our room.

Yes because although they provide buns and jam in the hotel corridor I would hardly class this as breakfast so I think you should not state breakfast included.....Even the coffee machine was broken so this meant an expensive breakfast each day in Florence centre.

Traditional family run hotel, clean and friendly although the owners do not speak any English but you can get by with no problem. DONT BUDGET FOR BREAKFAST INCLUDED!!

Margeret was so nice and helpful. She brought us snacks and even came into the room to bid us good night. I will stay there again when I go back to Florence!

The directions to the hotel was not correct and very confusing. It stated to exit the left side of the train station and turn left. It was in fact a right after exiting.

Everything was very nice aside from the fact
that the B&B uses codes for everything, to
open front door of establishment, door of the
room, and even to use the coffee maker.
Problem was the code given to us for the
front door was incorrect and we had to wait
for about 30min until we managed to get a
hold of help.
As soon as we arrived the staff was very
friendly and helpful. I will go back.

This is a very comfortable budget accomodation. It is very near the Duomo and the Acedamia. In fact you can walk anywhere from here. The rooms are excentric in decoration but clean and I would use again.

Do not expect 5* luxury as you are not paying for it. Very nice and excellent value.

If you arrive early (before 2pm) there will be nobody there and you need to use the phone in the hall. Note, they speak no English so be prepared to use a phrase book if you do not speak Italian. Very nice people!

No reception. Appears main reception was at another hotel some streets away.However lady who met us was helpfull.

Not a B&B. There is a coffe machine, but 'breakfast' is pre packaged junk food delivered to the room the day before.

I'm affraid my English is not good enough to express how dissapointed we felt when we arrived in this hotel. Some details we suffered in it :
- the tiniest bathroom we've ever seen, with the w.c. inside (yes inside)the shower box, so if you had a shower we got the w.c. quite wet.
- very poor breakfast( just a biscuit, a coffee we had to cook ourselves and a fuitjuice) we had to take inside our room.
- AND THE WORST AND MOST DANGEROUS, we share a heater with other rooms and this heater was over our bed !!!!!! so when other customer had a shower the heater switched on, then we spent the nights waking up every time this happened.

At no time was there an indication that there would be a toilet in the shower. Nor was it clear that breakfast would be a shrunk wrapped piece of chocolate cake for each of us. Also, there was no maid service for the towels.

I think that I should have been paid for staying there; it was a terrible accommodation. Except for the secure safe and doors (which were only shut about 50% of the time), the hotel was a poor excuse for the description on the website.

You MUST tell guests to expect no staff at the hotel and that there are toilets int he shower. I would have made a very different choice if I had known that.

I would tell a friend that it felt like I was in the show 'Fear Factor'; at any moment you expect someone to jump out, say that you are on a show and you can see your real room soon.

We arrived earlier than expected perhaps that's why no-one there. There were instructions about phoning someone but they were unclear....maybe that could be printed probably and displayed.
