Lovely hotel. Small but adequate room and bathroom. The breakfast room and bar area were wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed the staff we met. The hotel is in a great location for walking in Florence.

A lovely hotel right by the south side of the Ponte Vecchio, and very convenient for visiting the city's historical buildings. Great views from the restaurant and terrace across the river to many of them. Depending on your room location, you may get disturbed by street noise - but hey, that's all part of Florence's teriffic character!!

It is hard to judge this hotel. The location is wonderful - at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio. The room decor was garish and worn, but the beds were firm and comfortable and the size of the room was decent. The worst thing was the hairdryer! It looked like a vacum cleaner and dried my hair not at all!
The breakfast was very good - though if you wanted eggs they were extra. Roof terrace view excellent.
Overall thought I paid too much.

Pitti Palace provided accomodations far beyond what I, and my newlywed wife Jennifer, would have ever anticipated. Upon arriving and recieving a warm welcome we were made aware of complimentary champagne and a marvelous room upgrade -where in the world does that occur out of the kindness of people. Since we were honeymooning, Pitti Palace felt it necessary to make us feel as if we were indeed, on the moon floating the sweetest of dreams; what splendor and loveliness we experienced during our stay there. We would like to kindly thank (grazie de corie)the manager (Sabrina) and host (Alessandro). We definitely intend on revisiting Firenze and returning to Pitti Palace. Extending our appreciation and content from Los Angeles, California.

The suite on the seventh floor allows all of Firenze to be absorbed and felt upon that wonderous terrace. The space within the room permits unrestricted movement and freedom to move about. We must also note the genious concept of two bathrooms that accomodates to any newlywed couple and/or family.

I would describe my stay as a once in a lifetime experience and example of true hospitality. No asthetics of neighboring hotels could hold a candle to the warmth, generosity and superb accomodations exhibited at Pitti Palace. Its centralized local, views from all windows, beautiful rooms and outstanding staff make the stay there a unique, lifetime experience.

Great location, I personally would have liked to see some old features in the room , as the hotel is a lovely old building, but you cannot have everything!

Very central and near to everything you want to see, wonderful resturants and bars near by that are quieter than over the river, and probably less touristy, but the breakfast terrace is worth the stay!

The receptionist was extremely hospitable and I felt welcome at once. A bellhop was waiting nearby to help me take my (very heavy) luggage up to my room.

The Hotel Pitti Palace is in a great location if you only have a limited time to spend in Firenze. The rooms are clean and spacious. The facilities are very nice. Importantly, the staff is most accommodating and extremely pleasant.

Hotel a little noisy with motorbikes outside, but again, not surprising for central Florence.

Air conditioning ineffective, not that problematic as not too hot but would have been uncomfortable in high summer.

Excellent location at the Ponte Vecchio - the Oltrano is a a very central location to all the sites on both sides of the River as well being a little away from the bustle of the old town centre.
The hotel was better than expected and we would definitely stay again when visiting Firenze

Nice place with web access in the first floor lounge. Very close to all the important sights in Florence and the staff was helpful and polite. Rooms were compact but newly remodeled with everything you would expect including a small safe. The lounge on the top floor was picturesque and wit a nice continental breakfast and nice ambiance for an afternoon drink.

Breakfast area totally inadequate for the number of rooms. After standing for 10 - 15 minutes in a queue which showed no signs of movement and with pressure mounting from people exting the lift behind me, I left and found breakfast in town. Result 4 nights no breakfast.

Very good location and understand the hotel facilities must be limited within the available space of the original building.
Our only big complain is the total absence of drawers in the room: had to use our suitcases as storing.

Time it to not check out simultaneously with other parties as you could spend a long time waiting for the elevator to take your luggage down - specially that the hotel staff also uses the elevator even if just going, barehanded, from one floor to the next.

A good, unexpensive place to stay in Florence if all you require is a clean room and a good bathroom.
Excellent location for the Ponte Vecchio crowd and short walking distance from most everything else.

The hotal is wonderfully located and the front desk was extremely helpful when we needed to make plans for a trip to Siena, etc. I will definiately plan to stay there again when I return to FLorence.

Found the staff very helpful and our bags were placed in our room before we even checked in. They also provided us with directions to the various places that we wished to go.

I arrived by taxi and was welcomed by the people at the hotel. I got my room immediately.

The room was so so,very narrow especially the bathroom but it was always clean and private.The breakfast did not have too many choises and was very boring.To order 2 eggs for 5 euro i consider very expensive.
