The Hotel Relais Uffizi is part of a 16th century building located in "Chiasso del Buco", a cute little walking lane accessed through an ancient arch from "Chiasso de' Baroncelli", off to "Piazza della Signoria". It is 10 minutes walking distance from the Florence central train station "Santa Maria Novella". From the Florence airport "Amerigo Vespucci", it takes 20 minutes by taxi. Our location is a privileged one indeed: in the heart of the historical centre, we are conveniently situated within shortest walking distance from the city's top tourist attractions, its many monuments and museums, not to mention its beautiful churches such as Santa Croce, the Duomo, the adjcent Baptistry and Giotto's famous campanile. |

From Piazza della Signoria:
When you are in Piazza della Signoria, on the right of Loggia dei Lanzi, you will find Chiasso de' Baroncelli and after 50 meters, on your right, there is an arch (Chiasso del Buco) with the entrance of Relais Uffizi.
By Car:
- From south or from Siena, Highway A1 Firenze-Certosa. Please follow signs for Galluzzo - Porta Romana - Via Romana - Via Maggio - Ponte S. Trinita - Piazza S. Trinita - Via delle Terme where you can find the "Garage delle Terme" (open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
- From north, Highway A1-A11 Firenze Nord
Please follow signs for Porta al Prato and the train station.
You can find a garage next to the station ("Garage Giglio", via del Giglio open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.) : from the train station, go through Piazza dell'Unità Italiana and then via del Melarancio (the street between Hotel Baglioni and Hotel Majestic). At the end of the stree,t on the right, there is via del Giglio and the garage. Ask them to lead you to the hotel. Then they will keep your car at the garage and they will return the car at your departure.
If you arrive by car at the hotel, please leave the car in Piazza Salterelli and we will call the garage to pick it up.
You can also find "Public Parking" in Porta Romana, Piazza Stazione and Piazza della Libertà.
By Train:
The Relais Uffizi is very near the Florence Station of Santa Maria Novella, (only 10 minutes walking distance). Just follow the signs to Piazza Duomo, then follow Via Calzaiuoli to the Piazza della Signoria. When you are in Piazza della Signoria, on the right of Loggia dei Lanzi, you will find Chiasso de' Baroncelli and after 50 meters, on your right, there is an arch (Chiasso del Buco) with the entrance of Relais Uffizi. Next to the Train Station you can always find a Taxi.
By Plane:
You can arrive to Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci, 15 minutes by Taxi from the hotel, or to Pisa Airport where you can find a train to reach Florence in Santa Maria Novella Station. From there you can follow the above instructions. |
