I would recommend this property - Fulvio was extremely accommodating, our room was beautiful and we were very close to everything! I only wished we could have stayed longer!
Grandmother was not as sweet, but it made her endearing. She was not happy with us one night when we forgot to return our key to the front desk. Opps!

We requested a room with a balcony or terrace - we got our choice but both are on the fourth floor. The lift only reaches the 3rd floor so we had to climb a pretty significant set of stairs to reach our room. It was fine with us, but I don't know if an elderly couple would be ok.

Very charming and quaint. The rooms were finished with original antiques and were decorated with just the right touches. I loved the sitting rooms and the beautiful terraces. Nice place. I did recommend it to another couple we met that were going to Florence. I do not know if they stayed there or not.

the staff was very helpful and accommadating when we wanted a larger room.the location was just where we wanted to be in Florence.breakfast was terrific with many different meats, cheeses etc.we've been to Florence many times and although it's an older hotel it had all the amenities you would expect including good a/c.

The age and interesting layout of the building deserve a mention as they enhance a stay in a historic city.

I was shown to my accommodation personally by Lara, and she showed me all the amenities...very nice!

If I was interested in a tour they had that information, too...
Upon my request, they made my reservations (one month prior to my arrival) for both the Uffizi and Accademia...VERY HELPFUL in avoiding the long, long ticket purchase lines!!

an absolutely great 'perc' was that guests were given the use of a computer on the 4th floor...it was so convenient to be able to check & send e-mails from the hotel without having to go out and find/use an internet cafe.

This is our third stay at the Hotel La Residenza and we were welcomed graciously by the owners who were most helpful in providing directions to our restaurant and other destinations.

Our family loves the old world and gently dignified feeling of the hotel. It is a truly European experience to stay there. The hotel is quiet and the rooms clean and comfortable, although we preferred the rooms on the higher floors where we stayed in our previous visits.

We needed to leave early in the morning on a Sunday as we were driving to the Amalfi Coast and they were fully prepared for our departure. It was efficient and they were most helpful with all of our luggage.

The outside terrace on the top floor is a delightful place for relaxing. The views are lovely and most pleasant to enjoy with wine and cheese. The continental breakfast is fresh and generous.

This is a real Italian place, with a lovely roof terrace and wonderful people, great old antiques in the rooms and hallways. It's a wondering bunch of rooms and hallways -- the old woman who runs it is warm and gracious and the entire experience was wonderful.

We very much enjoyed our hotel stay. We felt the room was nice and roomy as was the bathroom. We will definately mention it to friends who travel to Florence.

The room I was given was not pictured on the website. While I was pleased with the room, it was not as recently renovated as the pictures on the website indicated. However, the room was large and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly, so the overall experience was very good.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Large room. The only downside is you can never get that 'really clean' look and feel in an older hotel. It's not that it wasn't clean; it was clean. There was a good balance between price and value. I would stay again.

This hotel is great for those wanitng to be in the middle of everything. There are very nice people working there with good knowledge of english which is our first language. They gave us good suggestions about where to eat and the only thing we didn't like were the bathroom accomidations; There was no shower curtain!

It is difficult to drive in Florence because of the one-way streets and limited signs. It took a lot of time to find the hotel.

This is a great old hotel. It is located near the tourist attractions and there are several great places to eat within a few blocks. The staff is extremely good and most speak English. Breakfast is substantial. All of this at a good price. The only problem is if you are driving, it is hard to find. Parking is very limited and expensive. Put your car in a garage and leave it there until you leave town. If I go back to Florence, I will stay at Hotel La Residenza again.

The rooms could have used a good coat of paint, just needs a little TLC. The pictures appeared a bit nicer than reality. But, towels were soft & fluffy, everything was very clean and the staff was superb!!!!

The location of this hotel is great - close to EVERYTHING - we walked everywhere. It was clean & the staff was helpful and accomodating (even brought breakfast to our room at 5:15am the day we had to fly out!).

The room had 'character' though not new. The breakfasts were excellent.
If one has a room on the street, as we did, the street noise can be loud at night.
The location is excellent for walking to nearly everything one would want to see.

The Hotel was short staffed and our only disappointme4nt was that they were unable to open the terrace bar with views over Florence.

The car park is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel and there is no parking immediately outside the hotel so you need to be quick unloading and make sure you have everything you need with you.

Excellent central position. The hotel decor is quite old and a bit shabby but clean and quite charming. The staff were very polite and helpful.

the staff were very friendly. The hotel was somewhat noisy as there were no double=paned windows and the street below was a main thoroughfare. The room itself was a bit tired and could be updated.
