Profile

There are more than one hundred units to choose among at this property, made up of an old structure -completely renovated of course for your confort- and a new building. You can stay at apartments with kitchen or single, double and triple bedrooms. And even though you will have cooking angles where to prepare your meals, breakfast is provided at the Café Ricasoli. The hotel has a history of its own, as many of the buildings you will come across in downtown Florence.

Originally, the construction worked as a palace, family residence for the Ricasolis; it had been designed by architect Cosimo Bartoli. In the 16th century, Cosimo de Medici turned it into the monastery of San Miniato al Ceppo, and the dining room where the nuns used to gather is now the reception area. Some of the testimonies from these past years still remain for guests to enjoy, like the frescoes by Poccetti in the reception or the statues scattered here and there. The hotel has a congress centre and a panoramic sun terrace placed on the fifth floor. From this point you will be close to the church of San Lorenzo, the Duomo and Piazza San Marco.
