By plane: The Peretola or Amerigo Vespuccio airport is only 11 kilometres from Soggiorno Matilde. This air terminal welcomes flights from Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, and many other cities in Europe on a daily basis, along with domestic services other airports within Italy. At Peretola terminal, take the interurban bus that goes up to Santa Maria Nouvella station. If you buy a flight to Rome, get on the fast trains going to Florence-they depart from all of the stations in the capital city and take around 1 hour and a half to reach Florence-.
By car: Exit Highway A1 at Firenze Sud and follow the direction to "Firenze centro" (centre of Florence) then follow the street (Via Enrico De Nicola) for 0.8 km until you get to the traffic light. Turn left into Lungarno Aldo Moro and straight ahead along Lungarno Cristoforo Colombo and Lungarno del Tempio. Turn right at the big roundabout into Viale Giovanni Amendola until you reach Piazza Beccaria.Continue along the boulevards in direction of Piazza della Libertà. At the Piazza take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico (on the right side of the piazza) and turn left at the traffic light. At the other traffic light turn left again. You are now in Viale Spartaco Lavagnini. On your right, at number 11, you will find the entrance for the car. If for mistake you will pass throught Via Camillo Cavour please advise reception about it, as the Hotel is located in the restricted area (ZTL) where driving is not permitted.
By train: Santa Maria Novella central station is only 1 kilometre from the Residence: the owners of the property advise you to take buses 1 or 7 at the station, and get off at the stop on Via Alfonso La Marmora, placed only 150 metres from the inn. From here, just take Via Venezia and turn right in Via San Gallo and after 100 meters on your left is via delle Mantellate. |
