The owner (Monica) met us and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was ready and nicer than we expected. ... The airconditioning was broken but a part to fix it was on order and it should be fixed by now. ... The only surprise while checking out was that Monica presented us with a lovely parting gift. ... The room we had (#31) was larger than we expected with beautiful Persian rugs on the floor and a nice fruit basket to welcome us.
Monica and her assistant Chiara couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. They made you feel like a part of the family. One night when we couldn't get a reservation at the restaurant next door Chiara recommended a Tuscan restaurant that was not touristy and turned out to be a fantastic experience. ... A lovely hotel that feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. It's a 10 minute taxi ride or a 30 minute bus ride from the tourist sites. It was nice to escape back to a typical Florence neighborhood after the frenzy of the tourist sites.
Monica and Chiara are fantastic.

Perhaps clarify directions. ... Lovely and clean with very friendly staff. Good location for jumping off to Chianti and avoiding the mobs in Florence!

Only negative point: The inoformation provided on the webpage (pictues of the outdoors) led us to believe that the hotel was located in a green quiet area(which was what wewere actually looking for), not between two very busy roads (also loud at night times). We were not so happy about the that as the reason to pick the more out-of center hotel was to be away from major traffic.
Otherwise: The hotel and staff were in perfect order and to our satisfaction.
Thank you. ... Concerning the traffic noise and the situation of the hotel (see above).
Staff was very helpful to provide internet access to us.
... Not give the impression that it is situated in a green quiet area. ... Nice, well-maintained, English-style hotel with friendly, helpful and very competent staff that also make extra efforts to help you. Sadly situated between too very noisy roads.

We loved the hotel - the rooms were beautiful, the bathrooms were very nice with unusually large showers (by Italy's standard) and the hotel was surprisingly easy to get too (I was not looking forward to driving in Florence, but it wasn't an issue) ... It's a 10 minute bus ride to the center of Florence, or a 7 euro cab ride.

You should definitely upgrade the arrival discription for the hotel, everything else is very good, pictures and info on the net, staff, the hotel itself, ewerything! ... Rooms nr.24 and 25(?)was exactely as presented on the website.Very clean, cozy, great bath! The bed was a bit too hard for our taste. Roomtemperature was nice and cool (airconditioning),so we kept the windows closed, the busy one-way-street outside was no problem.Hey, we are in a town! Short distance to bus 32 or 33 (60 meters ?)wich goes into town in 10 min.Very kind and smiling breakfast-lady! ... A closer map, showing entrance!Or a satellite- photo ! When you arrive by car in the one- direction-street outside the hotel, with a bunch of impatient italian cars behind you,it is not easy to recognize the hotel, or find a place to stop. And before you know it, you have to take another round in the streets to return to the same point. We had three rounds! ... Nice little hotel, with itīs own personal english touch,a good place to stay, very convenient, clean, friendly and polite staff ! Benedicte & Nils

the owner and her family were great, to the point of her father giving us a ride to Florence. The only negatives were the distance from Florence and that the shower would turn cold at times. ... A warm and relaxing place to stay. The owners Debora and her family make it worth staying here.
