christina the agent was very helpful and provided a lot of useful advice

Although we had no compliants about the apartment it may be useful to explain that the location described as near the Ponte De Vechio was slightly inaccurate, it was near San Spirito. Also as it was above a cafe, noise a night could be problematic. We expected this and used earplugs. Gusets should be advised

Could not fault the apartment but the bar on the corner was very noisy.

Very nice, clean, big apartment with everything you could need. Suitable for children but maybe not toddlers as the floors were all stone tiles. Very comfy double bed but the bar on the corner was sometimes VERY noisy until 2am. Probably no noisier than the rest of Florence though but a shock if you are used to double-glazing! Everything else about the apartment was great and cheaper than a hotel especially if you cook your own meals as we did - the kitchen is small but has everything you could need.

Wonderful Apartment, much larger than I expected. Friendly and helpful host/owner. Good location.

There were mosquitoes in the apartment, but I'm not sure what you can do about that. The addition of one or two cooking dishes for the microwave would be helpful, only metal pans were available.

Thanks, -David

We took a wrong turn and called our landlady, who hopped on her scooter and came and found us and guided us to the garage we were wanting to park in!

The bathroom and large shower (with very good water pressure) was something we were thankful for on a daily basis. Sometimes in Europe showers can be pretty flimsy affairs...not so here. The air conditioning was very efficient too.

At check out we could not get the taxi companies to answer the phone and we needed a taxi! We tried to pre-order one the night before but they told us 'call 15 minutes before you need one'. Our landlady said 'this happens'. She told me to go out in the street or walk to Pont Vecchio to get a cab and bring it back. I tried but to no avail. She, somewhat reluctantly, followed my husband's suggestion that SHE get on her scooter and go and find us a cab...which she did, in about 5 minutes. In the end, we got our cab, but it was nerve-wracking.

I think the site says '150 meters from Pitti Palce'. Whatever the 'meters from' info is, it is not true. I would remove it. If I were you I'd highlight the fact that it's 'Oltrarno', a lovely part of the city to be in and explore, AND play up Piazza Santo Spirito...it was the best! There was live entertainment in the piazza almost every night...they broadcast the World Cup games on big screens in the square at night, a green market every day for fruit and vegetables, and we also got an antique market and a craft market!!! Not to mention some good restaurants and cafes. We loved being just around the corner from Piazza Santo Spirito. I'd return just for that.

I'd say it was spacious with a very good master bed. The kitchen could use a 'salad spinner' for drying lettuce but that was the only thin I felt was lacking and that's pretty minor. The bathroom/shower is large which is a plus. The only thing I'd suggest to a freind is to take along ear plugs. A bar across the street went late into the night...not raucous, just people on the street talking, but it's right below the master bedroom windows. I had earplugs and used them and I was fine. You are a 4 minute walk to the Ponte Santa Trinita, which gives you a glorious view of the Ponte Vecchio!
