The only problem we had was that no one warned us about the street noise. On the weekends it was virtually impossible to sleep until after 2:00 a.m. because of a bar directly beneath the apt. Drunks were yelling at the top of their lungs. The owner should install double-insulated windows to at least cut down the noise. The apt. was wonderful, and the hostess terrific. But I could not recommend this accommodation to others unless this problem is resolved. The description says the apt. has a clothes dryer. It doesn't. It has a drying rack, which is not remotely the same.

Beautiful, spacious, well-equipped apartment that is very accessible to all the sites in Florence, as well as restuarants, etc. A 10' walk from the Ponte Vecchio, the train station, etc. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The only caveat is the very intrusive street noise on Friday and Saturday nights from the bar right beneath the apt. If you stay Sunday - Thursday, no problem. Friday or Saturday you will get no sleep until after 2:00 a.m.

The noise from the restaurant below can be loud. Enjoyed being in a neighborhood that is not so touristy.
