L'Incontro - Restaurant & Bar: Our very relaxed restaurant and bar, L'Incontro, spills out on to the piazza and is the ideal place for enjoying the Tuscan sunshine and watching the world go by. The menu offers a wide range of traditional Florentine dishes, using fresh truffles when in season and other local ingredients. We keep an extensive list of the region's wines which are well worth exploring, and the bar offers a wide selection of cocktails as well as more traditional drinks. Among the most popular restaurants in town, L'Incontro Bar and Restaurant continues today the tradition of offering excellent food and courteous first class service in surroundings of simple elegance and impeccable hospitality.

Meetings: if you would like to entertain or hold a meeting in private, we have a function room which is equipped with the latest technology and lighting. We will do our best to meet all of your needs, whether they be a standing reception for 70 people, a dinner for 60 or a boardroom meeting for 14 with presentation equipment.

Friendly Service: Our staff are on hand to advise and assist you, whatever you may require. Friendly and attentive service is what will make a difference to your visit and we will work hard to ensure that you are well looked after from the moment you arrive at the hotel. We will show you to your room without delay and help you with your unpacking and press your belongings, if you require. Facilities outside the Hotel

The designer fashion houses and numerous open-air markets are all around you and leather goods are a particularly good buy. The nearby Ponte Vecchio is renowned for its many jewellery shops and traders. Another must-see is the wonderful Farmacia di Santa Maria Novella, an old apothecary situated in the former church of Santa Maria. From the moment you enter through the thick wooden doors you are greeted by heavenly scents - it is a very calming experience. You can even have a special scent designed for you personally.

In addition to the fine wines of the region, Grappa is a fashionable drink and comes in all flavours, often presented in ornate bottles. It is not unusual to stop at one of the small "hole in the wall" bars in the side streets for a quick glass before continuing on your way! A popular alternative is Vin Santo which is a speciality of the region and is always accompanied by sweet Cantucci biscuits.

If you have time, it is also well worth a drive up into the beautiful Tuscan hills to the quaint town of Fiesole where you can enjoy stunning views over the city. If arriving by car, we can valet park it for you nearby and return it to you when you need it. If you are arriving by air or by train we will be happy to come and collect you, if required.
