Our room, a triple, was very comfortable and actually had a separate space for our daughter, the third person. It was a very good arrangement for us as noone felt crowded, and she had her own 'space.' ... Terrific location. Could walk to most sights. Even though our room overlooked the street, the noise was not a problem. We enjoyed our stay there. In spite of the (tiny)elevator leading up to the lobby, there were many steps to climb to reach our room. This was not a problem but is worth mentioning. The staff was helpful when asked, not overly friendly but sufficiently so. The rooftop garden provided a glorious view of Florence and we ended every day there soaking in the sights.

The Desk Person 'Givonnia' was exceptional and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant this was a business trip as well and the staff were most helpful. ... Elevator small, but it worked, ... Helpful staff with organization of Taxi etc. Well done. ... It is on the fifth floor ... 'A well positioned, easily accessable hotel that is fairly priced for the City and the season. Not wheelchair accessable

my room was not ready, but I was early. The receptionist gave me directions to the theatre where I wanted to go, but did not offer to phone them about my tickets. She was certainly polite, but did not go out of her way for me. ... The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was adequate, but smelled of mould. The upper terrace was lovely, but no one pointed it out and I only saw it on my last day. ... As one reviewer put it, it has a lot of atmosphere, but I did not find it particularly friendly, especially as a single traveller. My room was adequate, but I thought it would be much more pleasant with a little update/freshening up.
... Interesting to see, hard to get into (the gates were locked when I arrived and I couldn't find the intercom - a passer by helped me out) and the elevator is tiny, and difficult to manage when you have luggage. I would suggest better signage inside the front entrance, as I at first started to haul my bags up the stairs!
