Need better signage after you pass the main gate. We got lost and could not figuer out which building it was. We were lucky that we saw someone walking by...who happened to be staying at the farm house, who told us where it is!!! ... I loved everything about the place!!! ... Need better directions and signage after the gate!! ... YES!!

we arrived from Slovenia (Ljubljana) in 5 hours. We found Fattoria Settemerli in 5 minutes. Our arrival experience: 5 stars ! ... Rennaissance in Tuscany - a wonder. The most beautiful place on the world. Art in Florence and Siena, lovely landscape with unique San Geminiano, etc.. Hi, Fattoria Settemerli is a part of this wonder.
Many stars as a EU flag! ... Positive: we not expected that Fattoria Settemerli is so good situated, just a few minutes from a highway (Autostrada) and from a centre of Florence. Very good!! ... A beutiful house, a peaceful place, a lovely countryside and a sign of a reach history everywere. So warm colours (no words). A heaven !!

The kitchen utensils were a little basic. A coffee maker (or bigger size coffee pot would have been appreciated, maybe a micro wave.... we stuck to pasta and antipasti
we loved the views from our rooms, the lovely atmosphere in the corte appartment , and early morning walks around the premises.

we booked 2 rooms for 4 people and we noticed every evening what there's not enough hot water for all 4 persons. ... Good location. Close to the centre (if you have a car). Very quiet. Autentic atmosphere.

I had e-mailed a few days before our arrival to inform them what time to expect us. I also asked if they could have a few items in the apartment after our long journey. I asked for white wine, water, figs, cheese, bread, and prosciuto. It was all there and they were very happy to do this for us. What a wonderful welcome! ... I had e-mailed before arriving to ask if we would be able to purchase breakfast because it is not included with the apartment and was told we could for 9 euro each. But, when we got there she said they were booked and it would be too much work. It would have been nice but we made it ourselves. ... It was very difficult to get a taxi. We ran into the owner on his way to work and he stayed to help us. We couldn't get a taxi so he gave us a ride to the bus stop. There were four of us and alot of luggage. The walk is only 5-10 min. but the road is dirt and gravel so it might have ruined our wheels on the luggage. ... I feel you should take a taxi to the Fattoria Settemerli when you arrive. There are two ways up and the one at the bus stop has a gate. You need to have a code. They give you the code after you arrive. ... Fattoria Settemerli is beautiful. It was a wonderful experience for our first time to Florence. The bus was very easy and only 15-20 min. into the city. The little town of Galluzzo is a 10-15 min walk with everything you need and a great Pizzaria with a beautiful garden in the back were we sat a drank wine every night after touring Florence and Sienna. We also had dinner a few times and the food is wonderful. The staff is fun and very eager to please as well as the owners. The perfect place to stay to experience Tuscany. Fattoria Settemerli! I have friends who want to go in June.

It should be stressed that there is no way you can walk the dirt road at night unless you have a vehicle. The reason being that there is no electricity and it would be extremely dark. We had to rent a car because of this, otherwise it was convenient to get to Florence with the bus. The staff was very nice and the accommodations were awesome. However, they did not make our beds the three nights we stayed there.
... See above statement ... peaceful and beautiful.

please advise guests that they have to walk two blocks uphill to arrive to the house ... good place to stay if you visit florence and you have a car or are eager to take a taki because at night the distance to walk uphill to reach tho house is long .There is a 15 to 20 minute bus ride to reach the city. The near by town Galuzzo is affordable to buy groceries and supplies. ... Amazing setting.

The place is absolutely beautiful, it really is an oasis in Florence, as the city is only a quick bus ride. BUT 1. Directions for getting to the place by bus are not at all accurate, the bus stop is nowhere near the entrance gates to Settemerli, we had 2 children and my father 72, so when we got off at bus stop it was a very long walk in baking sunshine (with luggage would be at least 20 minutes up a dirt track), fine for us but not the others, dragging luggage. But kind people in a camping shop rang the owner and he came to collect us.
...
1.I must say that we were left to our own devices to discover the area, we did not get much help or advice from the establishment, the best saviour was Avi, she works there and helped us out with a little information when we occasionally bumped into her.
3.A leaflet with basic information would not go astray, i.e. where is the nearest supermarket, restaurant etc. Where to get the best bus day or night, we were told to take the No 68 home at night, we ended up walking back home in a circle as the bus does not stop at same stop as No 36 bus. So again with children and grandfather a lot of grousing went on. 4. A little information on what to visit in Florence and surrounding areas would benefit the guest immensely.
5. They have a fabulous pool (bio lake) horses, chickens and rabbits, we thought we would be interacting with the farm but this did not happen as we never saw anybody. The children would have loved to pet the horses or feed the chickens.
6. Last but not least, do not believe all the sites when they say airconditioning is not necessary in Tuscany, sleeping even with a fan on you face is chronic. The heat in the apartment at nighttime is cruel, airconditioning is a necesity folks!
These are only small criticisms which would end up making the place absolutely perfect. The furnishings are out of this world and the scenery to die for. The owners have made the property look like something out of a magazine, so a little more interaction with the guests and folks it is a winner without doubt. We loved the place would go again but would have to be cool. Thanks for the priviledge of staying at your Fattoria. ... The walk from the bus stop with luggage is not acceptable.
Airconditioning is not available in the apartment.
Lack of interaction with the establishment. ... Just as I did above.
