We arrived an hour earlier than our stated time, but we only had to wait at the door for 10 minutes. Even though she spoke no English and I no Italian, we did quite well and getting checked in.

I had not anticipated the constant guitar noise from the nearby Piazza Signoria from this guy playing the same 4 songs over and over again each night. What was worse is some idiot playing his amplified guitar right under our window until 4 AM. Not knowing how to call the Police and not having an onsite apartment manager left us fairly miserable until we purchased earplugs. The apartment, itself, however, was wonderful. When the toilet failed, it was fixed immediately. The kitchen was great and I cooked several meals there.

There was a confusion at check-in and I was charged more than stated. However, by checkout, the situation was resolved. Also, there was some complaint about the use of traveler's checks, even though I'd cleared it in advance, but I never heard any more about it and was not charged extra.

Just the noise at night from the screaming teens and the drunks.
As far as the apartment, it was great.

A very historic building with all modern conveniences. You're right across from several tratorias, a gelato shop, piazzas, museums, sculpture, and outdoor sidewalk cafes. Very close walking distance to any of the historic sites in Florence.

It would have been nice to be able to ask the receptionist for directions and advice, but my lack of Italian made it impossible. Maybe you could supply tourist maps and an events brochure at check-in?

I couldn't open the windows. I don't know if it is possible. It would have been nice to check the weather in the morning.

I didn't realize until the night before checkout that booking for 7 days only meant 6 nights! The check out date was clearly stated, but I didn't pay attention, assuming 7 days meant 7 nights too. You might make that more clear on your website. It left me without lodgings for a night. I had to make some very hasty changes of plans.

A lovely apartment that has a warm and homey feel. Nicely decorated with a fully equipped kitchen. Spacious. A very quiet street and considerate neighbors. Prime location. Walking distance from virtually everything!

It was often hard to find the staff person who was supposed to be on-site a few hours each day to get minor maintenance issues resolved. This turned out to be a known problem and she was dismissed and replaced during our stay. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful during this time.
The only negative was the major construction project going on in the courtyard of the building which was very noisy, often from very early in the morning (7 am). The entire courtyard was in scaffolding which made it undesirable to open the windows.

A very nice apartment in an outstanding location. The rooms were nicely sized and very comfortable. I highly recommend the apartment and hope to stay there again.

Our stay at Signorie Apartments was fantastic. We had everything we needed to make our stay in Florence memorable. The location was great, the facilities were great and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for anything more during our long stay. We would highly recommend this property.

Check out was quick and easy. We had an early check out and organised an appropriate time to meet staff to finalise the account. Everything was complete and correct when we went down to the office. We have absolutely no complaints.

The Uva apartment was spacious and in a fantastic location, all the facilities we needed for a long stay were available and the staff were fantastic, even if you only speak english. We had no complaints and would highly recommend the apartments to family and friends.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, and bright apartment with all the necessities. Ideally located and perfect for any length stay in Florence. Will definitely use FlorenceBy in the future and will refer it to other friends and family.

The description of the apartment didn't really make it clear that there wasn't a living room. The apartment actually has a kitchen with a small sitting area, but it's not a living room. This was the only surprise I had upon checking in. The apartment seemed smaller than what I was expecting because of that.

A few things would have made the value even better. There wasn't enough toilet paper for our five day stay. There were no matches available to be able to light the gas stove. The apartment was lovely and we would stay there again, but the price seems high enough to have included these small details.

There really isn't any living room. It would better described as a large kitchen with a sitting area with table and chairs.

We had a pleasant stay at the Signoria Apartments. The manager, Cristina, was very polite and quite helpful during our stay.
The apartment was a bit noisy, especially at night, from the activities happening on the street. However, we were informed that in the future double-paned windows would be installed to reduce the amount of street noise heard in the apartment.

We stayed in the 'Arancio' apartment for almost 3 weeks. It was perfectly located for all of our needs during our visit to Florence.
The apartment was well-furnished, bright, cheerful, and centrally-located.
The manager was most helpful during our entire stay. She was always available - either at the apartments or by telephone.
I have already recommended the Signoria Apartments to 2 different friends who are planning trips to Flornce in the near future.
We would definitely stay there again.

There is no signage and the web instructions about via Condotta are incorrect.

Wonderful, spotlessly clean, perfect location, gracious hostess & provided a 'homey' touch to our week's stay in Florence. The privacy & space allows relaxation that hotels cannot provide. I'd recommend the Signoria to anyone.

We pressed the buzzer at the building and a caretaker showed us to the apartment and handed us the key. She had no English and I have very little Italian, but she was a pleasant woman. Unfortunately there was no demonstration process inside the apartment and we did have some difficulty with working out the gas and electricity supply. In desperation I rang the buzzer of an adjoining apartment and a very helpful American tenant assisted us, even to the extent of discovering that the circuit breaker for the power had tripped and had to be turned back on. Also there was great difficulty in using the building key from the street. Again the occupants of Arancia apartment were very helpful. The outside key situation was rectified by replacement on the following Monday.
These difficulties are not helped by the practice of renting apartments from Saturday to Saturday when the usual staff are not working!
My suggestion is that owners should arrange for staff be available for inductions of incoming tenants.

When wee finally met the owner (Liana)and the manager (Donatella) they were extremely helpful, particularly Donatella who spoke reasonable English and went out of her way to help us when needed.

Because our deal included utility usages in the fixed rent, Donatella didn't require us to pay the stated security of $200, so checking out only required us to lock up and place the keys in the appointed place. As it happened the cleaner/caretaker was present again when we moved out so we handed the key to her. Again no presence of owner or manager at checking out.

The apartment was as described but were were favourable impressed nevertheless. It was extremely comfortable and we would definitely recommend it to our friends and of course we'd stay there again without question.

A lovely quiet comfortable apartment with excellent facilities so close to everything in Florence. The location is one of this apartment's great strengths. Excellent value for money at this time of the year.
The manager was very helpful but some correction is required with respect to arrival and to a lesser extent, departure. I would envisage a possible problem with recovering the security deposit, although this would probably have to be done on Friday afternoon. The recovery of security deposits can be difficult in any apartment situation as it requires a meeting between manager and client.

Great location. Clean apartment. Downside is that apartment is in back of building and windows face directly and closely into other apartments. Also, apartment would be difficult for people that have problems with lots of stairs. You have to walk up a couple flights of stairs to get to elevator.
