I can thoroughly recommend this accommmodation for the independent traveller looking for reasonably priced accommodation in a great location. I felt at home and my only little niggle was that the lighting was not good enough to read by at night. But I will stay there again.

We were lucky enough to get a great room with a view of the Cuppola of the Duomo - it was excellent. ... Great atmospheric B&B in a fantastic location.

Antonio made our stay a wonderful time. He was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable in our room.
The Hotel was everything it was supposed to be. ... I would reccomend it to anyone who wanted to be in the central part of town.
The hotel is exactly as advertised. The Terrace on the top of the Hotel was a wonderful place to spend a relaxing evening after fighting the crowds all day. ... It can be noisy because of the location but that also makes it perfect if you dont have a lot of time to travel downtown. ... Central, comfortable and relatively inexpensive.

The room was wonderful, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. The shower had a curtain (something you don't always find in Italy), and the windows were double- paned, so the room was very quiet, even though there is a main street right outside. The location was excellent - maybe 2 minutes from the Duomo. The terrace did have wonderful views and was available for our use at any time. We were given breakfast vouchers for the bar across the street. We were given the choice of tea or coffee, and the choice of one pastry. (Not too filling, but it was nice to sit in the back of the cafe and have tea in the morning) The cafe doesn't open very early in the morning (not before 8), at least not when we were there, so don't plan on a very early breakfast. ... We had to check out late at night, since we were departing very early the next morning. The host was very accomodating and met us when we requested. It was very easy to get in touch with him, using a direct-line phone provided in the main check-in area. ... The cafe doesn't open very early in the morning (not before 8), at least not when we were there, so don't plan on a very early breakfast. ... A comfortable room with a great location

La Cupola is situated on the second floor of a building on the main street of Florence with a terrace available to guests (another two flights up) overlooking the Duomo. My husband and I stayed at La Cupola for three nights. When we informed the female attendant (Patricia) of our arrival, she promptly came down and carried my suitcase up the two flights of stairs. This was a most pleasant and unexpected welcome to the hotel. Our room was clean with basic furniture and a small bathroom (shower, toilet and basin – spotlessly clean). Antonio – the manager was congenial and helpful in all respects. On arrival he presented us with a bottle of red wine and invited us to enjoy the view of the Duomo from the terrace. The view of the Duomo and the surrounds is quite magnificent. Breakfast was at a nearby café for which we were given vouchers. We highly recommend La Cupola for the budget traveller and would stay there again enjoying the splendour of Florence.

The exceptional location is the main selling point. For it's price range it is great. The staff were very friendly.
The roof-top patio is a great feature. With a little more attention to ambiance, it could be a major feature.

Soggiorno La Cupola is conviently located to almost everything in downtown Florence. The stairs would be difficult for some visitors and traffic noise was bad on Friday and Saturday nights. The management of Soggiorno La Cupola was very helpful and friendly.

The room we were allocated was much smaller than those ilustrated on website and bathroom was almost unusable, with a toilet sandwiched between the wash hand basin and shower cubicle and only about 8 inches between the toilet seat and the wall. Also lid of toilet seat was broken and wash hand basin cracked. We did highlight this to the owner who apologised and gave us a small refund.
... This is a converted apartment not a hotel. There was absolutely no sound insulation between reception hall and bedroom, which has a half glass door.
I would say this accommodation should be described as a hostel ... Would not recommend due to reasons stated above

Our room was very clean, but it was not at all similar to the pictures on the website. We did not have a view of the Duomo and it was very noisy due to traffic below. ...
The location was very good and the room was clean. But the bathroom in our room was tiny and the shower drain didn't work very well. ...
I would warn that the traffic noise is considerable. On several nights it kept us awake. ...
I would recommend double checking when you book that your room is going to be what is shown on the website. Ours was not as nice as the pictures on the website.

The toilet in the room we had booked was broken so we stayed one night in a different room, then moved for the other two nights. There continued to be slight problems with the toilet and shower. This was probably a one-off problem though. ... The rooms were not as big and bright as I had envisaged from the website. But nice enough and very central location. The breakfast arrangements with a nearby bar were great. ... No-one was around when we wanted to check out which meant we had to wait for a long time then phone the manager who came along and checked us out.
