By Car
ITINERARY "A"
From Rome (follow signs for "Nord / Firenze") or from Milan - Bologna (follow signs for "Sud / Roma")
Join the A1 Motorway, exit at "Firenze Sud" and after the toll gate go straight on following signs for "FIRENZE/CENTRO" for approx. 3 km (dual carriageway). Go over a bridge (Ponte Varlungo) over the Arno river and turn left at the traffic lights into: Via Enrico De Nicola. Continue along Via Enrico De Nicola: when you get to a roundabout at a white tent (Sachall theatre on your left) turn right onto Via della Casaccia and go under the railway underpass at the traffic lights. Continue along Via del Gignoro over 3 roundabouts (dual carriageway) and continue for about 400 mt. At the end of Via del Gignoro there is the MUSEO DEL CALCIO, turn right into Viale Aldo Palazzecchi (dual carriage way) and continue for 500 mt. The road narrows towards the end (don't turn left!) and changes its name and becomes Via Della Torre. Continue for 100 mt and the first gate on the left is n. 50: you will see a pine lined avenue. Ring the bell at the side of the gate with the name CASALONE-FERRANTINI.
ITINERARY "B"
From PISA airport
TAKE SGC PI-LI-FI (it is a dual carriageway that connects Pisa (PI) and Livorno (LI) with Florence (FI). When you are near Florence, don't follow the signs for "CENTRO" (city centre), but follow signs for the A1 motorway for "Roma" - Enter at "Firenze Scandicci" and exit at "Firenze sud" (2nd station). Now please follow as for ITINERARY "A".
ITINERARY "C"
From Florence airport "Amerigo Vespucci"
You are very close to "Firenze Nord" station of the motorway A1. Please follow the indication "TUTTE LE DIREZIONI" (all directions) and then follow always the indication towards Rome: the green signs for the A1 motorway for "Roma" . When entering the pay toll head south in direction Rome. Exit highway at "Firenze sud" (3rd station). Now please follow route description as for ITINERARY "A".
By Train: The main train station is "Firenze Santa Maria Novella" which is at about 15 minutes by taxi.
By Air: the main airport, "Amerigo Vespucci," is located in "Peretola" at about 20 minutes by taxi. Shuttle bus to Firenze SMN train station. If you are arriving from Pisa, you can take the train to the "S.M.Novella" railway station. |
