The street the property is on is a little difficult to find, but eventually we found it.
There was no receptionist per se, but we were received by the son of the owner, who was extremely helpful.

This property is absolutely gorgeous, and the owners, Guido and Pia Casalone, are extremely friendly and helpful. They have lovingly restored the property and have clearly put their heart and soul into it. I would go back in a heartbeat.
They also offer a homemade dinner for 60 Euros per couple, which we took advantage of. It was, bar none, the best meal of our entire trip, and we ate at many restaurants. My husband helped prepare the meal with Mrs. Casalone as well - she is a wonderful cook. Mr. Casalone even made us a CD-rom with some of their favorite recipies to take home with us.
I can't say enough nice things about these people.

This property is part of the Strozzi-Ricardi villa, which has an interesting history, not the least of which is the fact that it served as Nazi military headquarters in the area during WWII, and later British military headquarters.

This is very likely the most beautiful ceiling you will ever sleep under. I stared at it for hours.

The owners were very friendly and helpful in two emergency situations. I hate to mention it, but there were two deficits with the property. The bathroom was not particularly clean, particularly the shower. Also, the living area abutted another property and there was very little privacy from the adjoining neighbors. Otherwise the stay was WONDERFUL>

The value was impacted by the dollar and its problems.
