The staff person at the reception was very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we wanted her to make dinner reservations, and in which area. She selected an excellent restaurant and provided us good walking directions. ... The room was spacious and cool -- nice for a hot Florence day. The location is excellent for walking to all the sights. The jetted tub was an unexpected bonus. ... The staffperson was very helpful at checkout. We had a late afternoon train, so we were able to leave our bags (without charge) at the hotel in a safe area while we had a final day of walking around Florence. The receptionist gave us advice on how to take a bus to the Pitti Palace. ... We will definitely stay at the Strozzi Palace on future trips to Florence. The location couldn't be better, and the hotel is clean, serene, and comfortable.

My wife and I received a warm welcome and check-in procedure was efficient. ... The hotel was not as busy as I had imagined it to be, so the relaxed, laid back atmosphere was just right. Also, the hotel is ideally located, with the main tourist attractions and the train station within easy walking distance. ... Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. ... Friendly, relaxed, non-intrusive atmosphere, with comfortable and spacious rooms decorated and furnished to a high standard.

We had asked for a room for four and were given a room with two double beds, one of which was only a sofa-bed (this was not totally satisfactory) ... The hotel is very well centrally located, but the noise level from the street (traffic and building work next door) was very high - it didn't always let us sleep. ... Central but noisy.

Room was a liitle small but that was to be expected. ... Very nice, clean, and a perfect location.
One last comment...I used your website to book hotels in Tuscany (Tuscany.net) and Rome (Romeby.com). I would recommend your site to anyone. It was easy to use, the photos and descriptions were very accurate, I liked the idea that my reservation was directly with the hotel and didn't have to pay in advance, the selection was outstanding and the only surprises were pleasant ones. The trip to Italy was a surprise for my wife to celebrate our anniversary. She loved every place we stayed and in Tuscany the facilities and room were so beautiful she was speechless!

Friendly and helpful young staff at front desk. ... A small 'boutique' hotel, tucked into the central visitor area of Florence, very convenient to major sites, spacious and comfortable room and bath, friendly staff, typical and satisfying European breakfast. Hassle-free, would stay there again.

very central to sights and within easy walking distance of most. Air conditioning didn't seem to be working so rooms can be airless. Noise levels high when windows open due to busy road next to hotel. Very clean and good breakfast.

The continental breakfast was not as good as in the other comperable hotels that we stayed in Europe. Otherwise, it was all very nice. ... Clean, comfortable, surprizingly large room. Fantastic location. Close to everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast could use alittle improvement.

We were given a room overlooking the main street and it was extremely noisy. In fact it was unbearable and we requested another room facing the back of the property. Fortunately the hotel had another room to spare and moved us, but to a room that had no window, but at least it was much more peaceful. ... Although the sheets were clean, the bedcover was dirty and should have been changed, but as I had already asked to change rooms I couldn't be bothered to complain anymore. There was no cable/satellite in the room, just normal TV. Also it states that there is a bar at the hotel, infact there isn't one. The breakfast could have been a bit more varied but it was the same thing every morning. ... Not to ask for a room that overlooks the main street as it is extremely noisy. ... The only good thing about this hotel was the fact that it had a jacuzzi bath which was nice and relaxing after a day out touring, and although the staff were friendly, I wouldn't rate this more than a three star hotel.

We very much enjoyed staying at the Strozzi Palace Hotel the room was good and the location was perfect. We would definitely return there on return visit. ... There was only one problem which was a very bad smell of gas in the bathroom when the water was run, plus it would have been nicer to have had a bath instead of a shower.
