The young lady was very cheerful and greeted us warmly. The room we requested was having the bathroom remodeled but we got another room with a terrace and actually felt it was more private. We were delighted.

Since we had an early departure the young lady checked us out the afternoon before and arranged for a taxi to come get us at 5:00 am plus a 4:00 am wake up call. Both were on the exact time as requested.

Wonderful room. Be sure to get the terrace! Ideal location. We could walk to the train for our trip to Pisa and we could walk all over.

The bedroom was spacious, the furnishings well appointed and comfortable and the bathroom facilities were first rate.
The breakfast buffet was generous and the rooftop terrace is a jewel in Florence.

Location, location, location. Close to Arno and to best shopping. Easy for taxi. Lovely accommodations as if staying at a friends (a wealthy friends) home high above the hustle and bustle of the city.

The staff were unbelievably friendly. Particularly Jacobi (the manager). The hotel was absoltuely stunning - the views must have been the best in Florence. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone and everyone! And it should only get better once the bar has been fitted

you should definitely advertise the location of the hotel. It is in the middle of shoppers heaven with all the designer shops, is 5 minutes from Duomo/Uffizi/Porto Vecchio/train station.

The web site does not mention a great deal about the rooftop terrace. Right in the centre of Florence, this wonderful terrace is a sun trap all day, and has tremendous views over the whole of Florence. We spent many hours sitting up there with several bottles of wine!

Staff were very helpful and the hotel was wonderful. On the site you made no mention of the fact that the terrace has an honesty bar and can be used by guests at any time. Although we didnīt use this facility (we were only there for 2 nights) I think itīs a very good selling point

This property was the highlight of our trip to Italy- also visited Udine/ Venice/ Rome. Everyone was wonderful, helpful, accomodating. Room and public areas were beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The rooftop terrace cannot be beat for the view, serenity and pure romance of Florence. I will recommend this property and your site to everyone. Thank you.

Wonderful and helpful desk help (the manager and his mother)- very accomodating - She called a garage for us and had someone come over to take our car which was very helpful, as there is no parking on the street

We had a wonderful time in Florence and at Antica Torre. This has to be one of the best kept secrets of Florence. Although it is not a typical hotel we found everything about our stay was perfect. The Antica Torre has one of the most beautiful patios in all of Florence, I'm not sure there was another rooftop higher. You have to check it out at night with a bottle of wine and a few candles.

Very polite, a bit confusing to find the place but that was due to the fact that it was my first time in Florence. By the 2nd day everything made sense. Now that they are moving reception to the ground floor so that problem should be eliminated as well.

The two Desk persons were outstanding, the housekeeping services were commendable, the breakfast cook/server was zealous in his efforts to please each of his guests and the facility was very comfortable.
The director was an officious, self-important buffoon, but we only had one contact with him the entire week.

Needed more options for people who want to do tours, more companies to work with you on that, like for dinners. It was nice to have recommendations for dinner. Also, the staff was very friendly and made the stay nice!

Great location. Lovely, good sized room. Nice bathroom. Only problem encountered was air conditioning didn't cool very well. Roof top terrace is terrific. Staff was very nice and helpful, especially on day of departure as we had clothes that should have come back from the laundry/cleaners the night before but didn't. Receptionist managed to track them down and get them to us before we had to leave hotel to catch train.

We felt that we should have been told that the reception was only available from 8.30 am until 8.30 pm. There was no breakfast room, so breakfast was supplied in your room. This means that the breakfast choice was extremely limited to 1 croissant and 1 bread roll each with cheese, although cereal and biscuits were supplied in the room.

We felt the location was extremely good. It was situated directly above Versace, in the good shopping, and 3 minutes walk from the Ponto Veccio.

The hotel staff were always helpful and polite. However,one receptionist had limited English. This did not pose a big problem, but we thought she had made us reservations at the Uffuzi, but in fact she had not been able to get through on the phone. Otherwise, they were all very gracious and helpful.

I would have rated our room, #504, higher because it was an extremely elegant room, but it was the only room facing the street. The traffic was a bit loud and there were some drunk American college kids who decided to camp out in front of our building, under our window for three nights in a row. The street noise was too much. Next time, and we will go back, we'll choose another room.

Positives are that it is centrally located. You can walk to anything downtown. All the museums and churches are just a walk away. Plenty of nearby restaurants and a beautiful bar and terrace upstairs. We spent one evening eating take-away and drinking a bottle of wine from a cafe on top of the terrace while watching the sunset. Amazing!

The rooms were nice, clean and the hotel has an excellent location. Nevertheless, the price is very high for an hotel that does not have a bar, has a poor breakfast, a small reception, no living room, nobody helps with the luggages, etc. This is my general perception about Italy. The country is beautiful and nice, but they take advantage of this to charge horrible high prices.

Beautiful,the location is fantastic and you feel like you are staying in a fridns apartment, not a hotel. the owner was charming and friendly and helpful to suggest where to eat, the whole weekend was great. My only but would be that the installation of the bar on the sixth floor and the terrace restaurant facilty needs to happen very quickly, it would transform the hotel.

not sure if it is up on the website but it's important that people know that the staff including the reception leaves at 7:00 so if u need anything make sure you tell them ahead of time. I also find it annoying that whenever I call the front desk no one is there to answer..

Very efficient, courteous and thorough without being pushy. I was taken on a tour of the property to familiarise myself with all the facilities. Overall a good experience of being made to feel welcome and at home.

There is only one thing that I have to mention which is not positive. The safe in my room was broken and it could not be fixed. However there are mitigating circumstances: my stay was over easter and it would have been difficult to get a technician in at the time.

We arrived very early in the morning (6 a.m.). Even though the reception desk would not open for several hours, Antica Torre made arrangements for us to be let in and they provided us with a temporary room to shower, then served us a delicious breakfast. They were very accommodating.

I was very impressed with the hotel. A few extra touches, like robes, extra pillows, a safe (missing in our room) could create a nice little boutique hotel. The breakfast room and roof top terrace were very nice.

During off hours one has to remember to take the key to get into the outside door. Also, one has to carry the key at all times. Staff is not always on site, but a telephone number of the manager is provided in case of problems or emergencies.

There were a group of us and only one(extremely slow) lift was available which meant a number of trips for the group and it's luggage to get checked in.

The descriptions stated that there was a bar - which there was - but it was not stocked or staffed as expected. We were told we could bring our own drink in which worked out fine, but I had expected a proper functioning bar.
