related resources and activities available in Florence and its
neighbourhood.
Aeroclub Volovelistico del Mugello
The aeroclub Volovelistico del Mugello is a sporty amateur association for
aeronautic. The main aim of this association is to practice the flight without
engine, by glider, using ascending currents only. The aeroclub Volovelistico del
Mugello is placed close to small city called Borgo San Lorenzo which is in the
middle of the valley of Mugello, near the homonym international circuit. Since
its foundation the Aeroclub has gone hard at disseminating the flight culture
through the formation of new pilots inside the internal flight school, the
organization of touristic flights and many other actions public oriented.

Skating
There are no ice-skating rinks in Florence but in Piazza Santa Croce
in December, a temporary rink is set up which stays until mid-January.
