The actual route Via Bolognese is more complicated than shown. A very specific map showing the routes from the airport and station would be helpful. It is especially difficult around the Piazza Della Liberta.

Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the breakfast. It's adequate but not notable. More fresh cheese and local baked goods would add to the experience.
Antonio was always cheerful and helpful, calling a taxi when needed etc., giving directions etc.

Villa la Sosta is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city center and museum touring, yet easily accessible by bus or taxi. Antonio is a warm and welcoming host who watches over his guests as if they were his children.

Host Antonio was exceptionally polite, helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for him
Surprised not to get fresh bread for breakfast - but that's probably not the italian way

perhaps more like 20 than 15 minutes walk from the duomo, depending on whether up or downhill

have already recommended it as a beautifully furnished, quiet place to stay with a lovely garden, friendly host and a bus stop directly outside

Guissy and Antonio provide a beautiful setting and lovely rooms which met our requirements and were extremely friendly and helpful when it came to getting around and restaurants in Firenze. We loved staying there and have already recommended it to friends and others we met along our way during our trip to Italy. Our only complaint has to do with the street number not being obvious and our having to search for it for 10 minutues in the rain! Breakfast was always lovely and we mett and were able to talk with other travellers. Guissy always called us a cab when we needed it and pointed out the best bus routes to what we wanted to see. Would ALWAYS try to stay there again! LARRY and DONNA DAWSON

a beautiful villa, just on the outskirts of the city(less than 5 mins into the city centre). Tastefully decorated and furnished. Very clean, good food and excellent help and friendliness from the owners.

Villa la Sosta is perfectly located in a park-like witheven in walking distance to the centre.The rooms and service are totally matching US-standards including very helpful and polite staff. Antonio and his sister are great hosts.

Always check the time when the bus comes, it could easily be that you'll have to wait for half an hour or so.
You can park your car on the mansions property, so don't bother to search a parking lot outside.

Villa la Sosta is a quaint place to stay, outside the city of Florence. It is like your own private retreat from the busy city. I would recommend it to anyone!

Excellent B&B - friendly owner - relaxed atmosphere - good breakfast - in walking distance of centre of Florence. Parking on site which made a huge difference. Bus stop just outside front gate. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended.

Very relaxed, quiet and comfortable b&b - large clean rooms with ensuite facilities including ceiling fans. Breakfast as much as you wish to eat. Antonio the host very accommodating. Parking in the large grounds an added bonus for peace of mind. Within walking distance of the centre but on a main bus route. Quite expensive at 120 euros for the room but I suppose it is Florence. We liked it very much and would return.

We wanted to phone in advance to state that we arrive late, but there was no answer all afternoon, which worried us. however arriving late did not matter and the landlords were in the house.

A nice place which is worth while staying if you dont mind to be absolutely central. With the bus to town is no problem. Parking is free, which is unusual for florence.

Great hotel, very friendly people. Huge rooms with very nice bath rooms. Location is a bit difficult to find, but quiet. Also rooms have no A/C, but have very good fans.

Since we are not from Italy, the directions would have been better if they had said to follow the road toward Bologna from the square & then look for the street number. We didn't know what Via Bolognese meant. We drove around for more than l 1/2 hours & had to ask for directions several times.

It was nice to be able to park our rental car in their gated driveway & not have to worry about it during our stay. The bus stop was also right outside the gate which is especially nice after a long day of touring.

The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great restaurant recommendations! Very easy and short bus ride into town. We would definitely stay there again.

Signora Fantoni was very welcoming, very gracious.

Signora Fantoni could not have been nicer. She was very helpful and gracious. Our room however was dirty, bedcovers were stained, the shower was very old and difficult to get into. The bathtub in another of our rooms was so small it was more like a sitz bath. The TV room was dusty and blinds were torn. The property was a bit neglected.

If a traveler is not driving, they should expect to pay around 20 euros per cab ride from the Villa to town. Cabs were very expensive.

Signora Fantoni was very kind but the property needs work and is a bit gloomy. Mosquitoes were there even in October. It has gardens but also a stagnant pool which is a mosquito breeding pool. I would give the hostess a 9 and the property a 4. I would not stay there again.
