"Il Villino" is in itself a work of art. The proud owners have managed to recreate a style that invites you to relax, after a busy day sightseeing, in all of the rooms. An old aristocratic town house, the entrance to Il Villino is hidden behind two heavy antique doors that open up to reveal straight in front of you the entrance to your holiday home.

Its coloured glass doors with lead details lead you through to the reception area
, where your hosts will arrange for your baggage to be taken up the narrow staircase into which, on a sunny day, the sun's rays penetrate through the ceiling window reflecting off the perfect white walls to give a refreshing feel. Two rooms on each floor will give you all the privacy and quietness you will want.

Most of the residences features are still original and date back to the 14th century and altough recently restored, all the main features have been carefully preserved. There is a small courtyard in the centre of the residence, where there is an old stone fountain that grows bright and cheerful flowers and an imposing magnolia tree that unfortunately hides the view of the Duomo from one of the rooms.

The sound of the birds and the strange quietness are somewhat of a rarity in a busy city, but
breakfast in the courtyard and perhaps a good book in the evening before dinner are made all the more pleasurable by the fresh air and strange feeling of being in a past time.

All that you could ask for from a holiday in Florence is right there next to you; museums and art galleries as well as the infamous Duomo, famous leather stores and shoe shops, restaurants and bars.Although you are not paying for room service or perhaps the extra luxuries that you might get from a good hotel, the rooms here offer guests something that a busy hotel cannot offer, that is peace and tranquillity. For a holiday in an ancient city a stay in a 14th century town house perfectly compliments the trip.
